Book Review #1-My Favorite Series-Shadow Falls Series by C.C. Hunter

My first review is going to be on  my favorite book series Shadow Falls.

My Rating: *****

Description:

Sixteen year old Kylie Galen is going through a lot, having a stalker (whom she calls Soldier Dude-due to his soldier uniform) that nobody seems to see, her boyfriend Trey breaking up with her, and her parents are splitting up. Kylie decides to go with her best friend to a party to get her mind off of everything, but when the cops show up; everything goes to hell. Her mom "The Ice Queen" decides to send her off to Shadow Falls Camp for Troubled Teens. Though when she gets there, she learns it's not for people as troubled as she thought. Supernatural teens take up refuge there for the summer, either to get away from the human world or to be with their own kind, or both.  Now Kylie learns she is not human, but she doesn't seem to have a place among the supernaturals either. She meets her two roommates who already want to kill each other half the time, Della-a kickass vampire and Miranda-a humorous and a boy-crazy witch. She also meets Derek a dreamy boy who knows how to get inside her head... and Lucas, a boy Kylie shares a secret past, who is a fine thing to look at. Kylie has no idea what she is, but with her new found abilities, she knows Shadow Falls is where she belongs.

Supernatural Beings: Shapeshifter, Witch, Vampire, Werewolf and Fey.

These books just took me away. I truly started to believe that this was a real place. If I were a supernatural, I would probably be a Fey. I actually for some reason went crazy and went looking for episodes of it online, for a good half hour I was thinking about how it was such a good television show, when it isn't (not yet anyway). Yea, you can imagine the scenes and characters so well you truly believe it is real.  I own every single book, even a bind up of books I already have (actually I am missing the second bind up (but it is of books I already own). That is how obsessive I am with it.

I have read the series 3 times and read Born at Midnight 4 times...yeah if I put that reading energy toward all of the unread books on my shelf, I wouldn't have this problem... This is a magnificent series, a true piece of art that gets into your head.

This is not even including the Spin-Off series Shadow Falls:After Dark about Della's Life. When the trilogy is officially finished, I will do a review on that when the final book in this amazing trilogy come out. Plus, June 30th, 2015... she is coming out with a novella about Miranda's life. Because the one sad thing about the Shadow Falls series, is you know almost nothing about Miranda's life and the world of witches.

Now the one thing that kind of annoys me is in every character's life there is a love triangle,
Lucas-Kylie-Derek.  Steve-Della-Chase.  Perry-Miranda-unknown

**SPOILERS AHEAD** (and I mean I do not hold back)
(Also everything is scattered all over the place)

I know this happens at the very end of Chosen at Nightfall, but I like how they made Trey and Sara involved again. Sara is hardly mentioned throughout the story, and I like how she kind of figures out some of the supernatural world without Kylie's help, though begs the question, will Sara ever know the full truth?

Okay, if you are reading this, you had to expect this... That first make-out scene between Kylie and Lucas, OMG I have simply reread that whole scene over and over again because of how well written it was. It is such a romantic scene.

Though when I found out about the whole marriage thing, I so became Team Derek, I was so furious I seriously wanted to cry.  But like I expected, it was Team Lucas that won. Though they are really cute together, and now werewolves can shove those traditions down their throats because seriously, Kylie is kickass...

Speaking of, I kind of expected her mom's boyfriend of being involved in the beginning, then I started to trust him...then when I found out the truth I was so mad at myself like, OMG I expected it but put my guard down.  But what I never expected was for him to go stabbing Mario!

Oh and even though Red was evil, I was crying hysterically when he died, more over him than Ellie.

Okay I get it, it was literally like a list of spoilers...but I will get better.
